VERTICAL TANKS
These economical water tanks are molded in one piece, with no seams or joints, of high density polyethylene, and thermoplastic material. While HDPE is an excellent material choice for many applications, caution must be used in extreme cold temperature environments, chemicals of high specific gravity, or cycling. Many times a heavy wall (1.9 s.g.) plastic tank will give an excellent service life. HDPE tanks are less expensive than XLPE tanks. Allow us to review your application to ensure proper wall thickness and tank design. Special brackets or large flanges can be welded to these tanks. Note: welded and plate gusseted fittings will offer maximum service life. As with all fittings they should be piped to allow for tank expansion and contraction.
HDPE is resistant to most chemicals, acids and caustics. Special consideration must be given to low and high temperature and high impact applications. Extra wall thickness will add service life in many applications. Since the tanks are machine made, the cost for extra wall thickness is very minimal. We recommend you discuss your application with sales engineer to ensure proper materials for your application are used.
All plastic water tanks can be fitted with welded flanged plate gusseted nozzles, mechanical bulkhead type fittings, fill pipes with support brackets, access ladders, cages, mixing baffles, agitator supports and bolted and gasketed side manways.
